EVENT RULES

  1. Team Information
    1. Team Size: 1 to 3 members per team
  2. Team Registration
    1. All participants must fill out an in-person registration form with:
      1. Team name
      2. Member names
      3. Contact details
      4. Unique code
  3. Total Rounds: 2
  4. Total Duration: Approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
  5. Round 1: BrainFreeze!
    1. Theme: "Team up, think fast, and qualify!"
    2. Duration: 60 minutes
    3. Flow:
      1. Quick Topic Game (Icebreaker):
        1. List items on a random topic (e.g., "Things we bring to college") in 30 seconds for points and to determine order to play.
      2. Technical Question Rounds:
        1. True/False: 2 questions × 2 marks (4 marks)
        2. Picture Connection: 2 questions × 3 marks (6 marks)
        3. Pseudocode: 1 question × 5 marks (5 marks)
      3. Grand Total: 15 marks
      4. Evaluation: Top 6–8 teams qualify for Round 2.
  6. Round 2: Byte the Ladder — Race to 50
    1. Theme: "Snake & Ladder meets Brain & Logic!"
    2. Duration: 40–45 minutes
    3. Game Concept: Classic Snake & Ladder with technical questions replacing dice.
    4. How It Works:
      1. Risk Choice: Easy (1–3 steps) or Hard (4–6 steps) questions.
      2. Answer Time: 30 seconds per question.
      3. Outcome:
        1. Correct → Move forward
        2. Wrong → Stay in place
      4. Board Dynamics:
        1. Ladders — Climb up if landed on
        2. Snakes — Slide down if landed on
      5. Win Condition: First team to reach Square 50.
